Amy Lacey Art Therapy offers individual and group art therapy services in the greater Maitland region.

I am committed to providing an inclusive and collaborative space for therapy. I welcome people from all walks of life; LGBTQIA+ community, abilities, neurotypes, and ages.

Who is art therapy for?

Neurodiverse folk. The goal isn’t to ‘fix’ neurodiverse ways of being, but to support individuals in having choice and control over how they express themselves—fostering self-esteem, empowerment, resilience, self-awareness, and self-advocacy.

  • $190/hour

    $145/45 minutes

  • Art therapy is a NDIS funded support under Capacity Building. Plans need to be either self or plan managed to access art therapy support with Amy Jean Art Therapy (non-registered provider).

  • Victims of crime or witnesses to crime, including unreported crime, can access art therapy with Amy Jean Art Therapy through the NSW Victims of Crime scheme. Check eligibility and apply here: https://victimsservices.justice.nsw.gov.au/how-can-we-help-you/victims-support-scheme/counselling.html

Next steps

  1. For individual art therapy- You can complete the referral from or send an enquiry.

  2. We have a free 15 minute phone conversation about your hopes and needs, to see if I am the right fit for you.

  3. I email forms to be completed before the initial session, which may include an intake form, agreement of service (NDIS only), confidentiality form, cancellation policy, and strengths and difficulties questionnaire (under 17 years only).

  4. For parents/carers seeking art therapy for their child, the initial session booked will be a 45 minute parent only intake session where we have a conversation about your child’s needs and history.
